Which? welcomes code
Ofcom’s new code on broadband speeds has been enthusiastically welcomed by one of the UK’s leading consumer organisations.
Which? magazine has hailed the code, which comes into force tomorrow, as a broadband speed victory.
The Ofcom code ensures that ISPs must give customers a clearer picture of likely broadband speeds.
'Great news'
It will provide greater clarity for consumers and and reduce the potential for consumers to be misled over the speeds they will be able to achieve.
ISPs covering more than 95% of broadband customers have already signed up and Which? broadband expert Ceri Stanaway described the code as ‘great news’.
Which? has also welcomed the fact that Ofcom will be monitoring ISPs over the next six months to ensure they honour the code.
